NIPA offers business owner, executive, affiliate and student memberships. NIPA's membership calendar runs from July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025. To view all the benefits of becoming a member, click here. All new memberships and renewals will expire June 30, 2025. 

Business Owner Membership

$347.50 for a business owner membership valid through June 30, 2025 for (1) person.

Business owner membership provides membership to all business owners with an APA designation and fulfills 15 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits per year. Business Owner members who are APRs are required to fulfill 10 CPE credits per year. Business Owner membership is for anyone who is a TPA business owner. This membership type provides savings for owners and their teams.

Executive Membership

$275 for a executive membership valid through June 30, 2025 for (1) person.

Executive membership provides membership to all individuals who hold an APA and/or APR designation. Executive members who hold APRs are required to fulfill 10 CPE credits per year and Executive members who hold APAs are required to fulfill 15 CPE credits per year. This membership category is also open to anyone whose primary focus is pension administration, including pension administrators, business managers or operations managers.

Affiliate Membership

$225 for an affiliate membership valid through June 30, 2025 for (1) person.

Affiliate membership provides membership to all individuals who affiliate with the retirement plan industry, but does not meet the criteria of the Business Owner or Executive Member categories. These individuals include but are not limited to accountants, CPAs, consultants, attorneys, financial planners, brokers, advisors, HR benefit reps, service providers (documents/software/education) and record keepers.

Student Membership

$137.50 for a student membership valid through June 30, 2025 for (1) person.

Student membership provides membership to individuals currently enrolled in an APA or APR designation course. They must also continuously enroll in at least one exam per year to maintain the student membership. Although this membership must be renewed annually, students have five (5) years from the date they initially join NIPA to fulfill the requirements of the APA/APR designation. After fulfilling the APA/APR designation requirements, students must then join NIPA at the Executive or Business Owner level in order to use the designation.
