 November 2016 Testing Window Recipients

Alyssa Heckathorn, Retirement Strategies Group

Alyssa Heckathorn has been employed as a Plan Accounting Associate at Retirement Strategies Group since 2014. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in May 2014 with a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources. As a Plan Accounting Associate, Alyssa mastered the processing of contributions, distributions, and loans.  She then elevated to balancing balance forward plans and helping administrators with testing such as census entry, eligibility clean up, and calculating participant’s vesting. Alyssa is very excited for this opportunity to continue her education in pension planning and develop a lifelong career in the retirement industry. 


Cheryl Mebes, Applied Pension Services, LLC

Cheryl Mebes graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2009 with dual BS degrees in Mathematics and Psychology. She immediately jumped into a career as a Retirement Plan Administrator and never looked back.  Cheryl joined Applied Pension Services in 2013 and has been furthering her knowledge of the industry each year.  She is currently studying for her APA designation and is looking forward to taking the next step in her career.  Cheryl is a member of Alpha Phi sorority and enjoys boating on the Great South Bay when she’s not working.

Jenna FauntLeRoy, Retirement Plan Consulants

Jenna FauntLeRoy is an office assistant learning about the basics of the retirement industry while pursuing her APA designation. Retirement Plan Consultants employed her in 2009 while she went to college, but the family-like staff and professionalism of the company has drawn her back to the retirement field after graduating. They have given her every opportunity to pursue further education that NIPA offers, as well as enjoy a developing home life as a stepmother. Jenna is from Montana, loves making people feel significant and welcome, family time is a blast, and getting in the deep outdoors is a must! Living life to its fullest, laughing every day, adventuring any time an opportunity arises, and being a "forever student" are cornerstones in Jenna's life.



Stefanie Francisco, Pension Review Services

Stefanie Francisco is a Pension Administrator. In 2010, Stefanie started with Pension Review Services as an administrative assistant and quickly learned that she was interested in growing within the pension field. She is excited to be on a specific career path and looks forward to advancing as a professional in the industry. Stefanie has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management as well as 7 years of Human Resources/ Payroll experience working in a corporate environment.

Emily Halbach, Martin, Martin, Randall and Associates, Inc.

Emily Halbach is a Retirement Plan Specialist at Martin, Martin, Randall and Associates, Inc. and has worked at Martin, Martin, Randall and Associates, Inc. since January of 2014. Martin, Martin, Randall and Associates, Inc. is a Third Party Administration and Actuarial firm with three locations in Jackson, Mississippi, Birmingham, Alabama, and Orlando, Florida. Emily started out as Defined Contribution Support and has vigorously worked her way up to being a Retirement Plan Specialist. She is the youngest Retirement Plan Specialist to work at MMR since being founded in 1988. Emily is currently studying for both her APA designation through NIPA and her QKA designation through ASPPA. She thrives on the constant learning environment that pension administration provides to her. Her goal is to not only know her caseload on a per plan basis and keep these plans in compliance with the IRS regulations, but to also know her clients, by having a one-on-one relationship with them while keeping their plan qualified. She is thankful that NIPA and PenChecks has given her the opportunity to obtain the APA credential and looks forward to working with NIPA in the future.  



Nicole Pardee, MAGII Pension Services, LLP

Nicole Pardee is a Client Services Administrator with MAGII Pension Services, LLP. Nicole is part of the distributions and loans team, and acts as a liaison between vendors and clients. She also assists TPA’s with census preparation and data collection. Nicole has more than 10 years’ experience in the retirement field. Prior to working at MAGII, Nicole was a compliance analyst and operations administrator of a large national plan custodian. She was responsible for all aspects of day to day operations; as well as, compliance preparation, review and administration. When Nicole is not working, she enjoys spending her time exploring life with her young son and enjoying time with her extended family.

Rhiannon Jardine, SuperiorUSA

Rhiannon Jardine is the oldest of six girls. She grew up in the small community on the south shore of Lake Superior called Port Wing, WI. Her graduating class had 29 students. Rhiannon started college as a math major at the University of WI – Superior, but transferred to UW – Green Bay the following year to a Business – Finance/Accounting major. Her first position was with M & I Trust Company of Appleton in 2001, where she was given the opportunity to work with some really great people who inspired her interest in this field. Rhiannon has continued to work in the Pension Industry since. Ultimately, she finds herself back in her hometown area & feels blessed to be able to continue in her profession working with SuperiorUSA in Duluth, MN. She currently lives in Iron River, WI with two daughters, Caitlyn and Jenna, and her son Nolan. Her oldest daughter graduates this year and plans to go to UW – Eau Claire as a Business major which really excites her.


Amy Moceri, All Valley Administrators LLC

Amy Moceri is a Pension Consultant in Fresno, CA. Amy is new to California and to the field of Pension Administration having just relocated from Jackson, TN to Fresno, CA last year. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, as well as 11 years of sales/marketing experience with AT&T prior to coming to work for All Valley Administrators in January of 2015. Since she started with All Valley Administrators she has worked with advisors and employers to setup all types of retirement plans such as 401(k)’s, 403(b)’s, defined benefit plans, combination 401(k)/defined benefit plans, and leveraged ESOP’s. Amy enjoys spending time with her family exploring California in her free time!

JoAnn Clausen, Creative Plan Designs, Ltd. 

JoAnn Clausen has over 25 years of experience in the Pension Industry as a Defined Contribution Administrator. Currently, she has broadened her professional repertoire to include Plan Compliance and Documentation with the current PPA restatement cycle as well as continue with plan administration. 

She is a graduate of Hofstra University and holds a Bachelorette of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.  She is confident that an APA designation will enhance her standing in the Pension Community and compliment her many, both personal and professional, accomplishments. 


Kira Van Dusen, Hicks Pension Services

Kira Van Dusen has been affiliated with the world of retirement industry in one capacity or another since March of 2009. She is a graduate of St. Lawrence University (2005) and has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology. Kira is also a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.

Eun Cho, Jack A. Cross & Associates, Inc.

Eun Cho is an Assistant Administrator at Jack A. Cross & Associates, Inc. located in Irvine, California. Having graduated from UCLA in 2012, she was actively working in the legal and accounting industry before joining the pension community in December 2013. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and trail running as well as spending time freelance writing. Eun is truly excited to develop a lifetime profession in pension planning, and hopes to be a leading expert in the field.



Emily Liddick, MGA Consultants, Inc. 

Emily Liddick has worked for MGA Consultants, Inc., a third-party administrator in Ellicott City, MD, since August 2012. Emily started as an administrative assistant and has gradually added more responsibilities as her knowledge in the pension field has grown.  She now has a wide variety of responsibilities and roles!  She is excited to be on the road to becoming a Pension Plan Administrator. Emily enjoys assisting clients with their 401(k) Plan administration, as they often have questions on the features of the Plan’s document, their responsibilities as Plan Sponsor, and understanding the Plan’s annual report and Form 5500 filing. Emily enjoys that every day brings new experiences and challenges!

Emily graduated from Syracuse University in 2005. Emily currently lives in Sykesville, MD with her husband and baby daughter. In her free time, she enjoys music, reading, gardening, knitting, and cooking.

Stacy Ecker, Qualified Pension Services, Inc.

Stacy Ecker is a pension consultant with Qualified Pension Services, Inc. in Springfield, Missouri. She has worked at Qualified Pension Services since September 2011 as an Administrative Assistant processing payroll contributions, plan distributions and reconciling trust accounts. She has over 15 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, six of those in accounting and banking. Stacy has discovered that third party administration is ever changing and challenging on a daily basis. Having gained the basic knowledge of this specialized field of work, she courageously accepted a promotion to Pension Consultant on October 1st of this year. Stacy grew up in Kansas and lived in Ohio and then Florida where she relocated from to Nixa, Missouri in 2007 with her husband and two sons. She and her family enjoy the outdoors spending time at Table Rock Lake boating and camping. When the Gators are close to Springfield Stacy and her husband enjoy attending football games.



Lisa Haydel, Retirement Strategies Group  

Lisa Haydel has been employed as a Record Keeper with Retirement Strategies Group since September, 2013. She graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in 2010 with a degree in business administration and specialization in marketing. As a Record Keeper, Lisa is responsible for processing contributions, distributions and loans. Her additional responsibilities include mutual fund changes, retirement-plan takeovers, annual census entry and plan balancing. She also is a member of the RSG participant call center team. Lisa is very excited to continue her pension administration education and eventually develop a lifelong career in retirement planning.
