NIPA's membership calendar runs from July 1- June 30. When you join NIPA or renew your membership today, your membership is valid through June 30, 2017.    

Business Owner Membership (Now $595 — Through 6/30/2017)

Savings for you and the whole team with NIPA’s Business Owner membership. This membership is for TPA business owners and includes:

All Business Owner Members who are APAs are required to fulfill 15 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits per year. All Business Owner members who are APRs are required to fulfill 10 CPE credits per year. 



Executive Membership (Now $445 — Through 6/30/2017)

Executive membership is for anyone with a NIPA APA and/or APR designation. This membership category is also open to anyone whose primary focus is pension administration including pension administrators, business managers or operations managers. Executive Members receive various member benefits:

 

All members that hold an APA and/or APR designation must join NIPA as Executive Members (or Business Owner Members) to use their designation. All Executive Members are required to fulfill 10 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits per year. Executive Members with an APA designation must complete 15 CPE credits per year to maintain the APA designation.

 

Do you have a QPA and/or ERPA designation? You will earn your APA designation just by joining NIPA as an Executive or Business Owner Member. Plus, if you are an ERPA, you will get your APR designation as well. Think you qualify? Complete our Equivalency Verification Form


Affiliate Membership (Now $390 — Through 6/30/2017)

Affiliate membership is for anyone who is affiliated with the retirement plan industry, but does not match the criteria of the Business Owner or Executive Member categories. These members include but are not limited to accountants, CPAs, consultants, attorneys, financial planners, brokers, advisors, HR benefit reps, service providers(documents/software/education) and record keepers. Affiliate Members will receive various member benefits:

Affiliate Members are not required to fulfill the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements and therefore cannot hold an APA and/or APR designation.

 

Student Membership (Now $240 — Through 6/30/2017)

Student membership is for anyone currently working towards their APA or APR designation that has not joined NIPA as an Executive Member or Business Owner Member. Applicants for Student Memberships must be enrolled in either a May, August or November APA or APR course within the same year they apply for membership for their application to be accepted and must continuously enroll in at least one exam per year to maintain their Student Membership.

 

A Student Membership needs to be renewed annually but is limited to 5 years from the date the application is received or until the Student has fulfilled the APA or APR designation requirements — whichever situation occurs first. At this time, they must join NIPA as an Executive Member or Business Owner Member to maintain their membership or use their APA or APR designation.
