Can I still take a pencil/paper APA/APR exam?
No, all APA/APR exams are only available online.

 

Can I take my online examination at a non-KRYTERION location?
No, APA Courses 2 and 4 along with APR Course 2, must be taken at a designated KRYTERION testing location during one of the exam testing windows. APA Courses 1 and 3 along with APR Course 1 may be completed online from home or your workstation 24/7 during one of the exam testing windows and no longer requires a proctor.

 

What if KRYTERION does not provide a testing location within one hour of where I am located?
KRYTERION's rapidly expanding network of proctored locations ensures convenient access to high-quality testing facilities so you may take your exams where and when you want. KRYTERION has built their global network of locations through strategic partnerships with professional organizations such testing and training companies, universities and colleges. KRYTERION is also able to establish new locations within a very short period of time to accommodate the needs of every student. If you are unable to locate a testing site near you, please contact NIPA Headquarters at 800-999-6472.

 

Can I enroll in more than one online exam during an exam testing window?
Yes, a student may enroll in more than one exam on two separate days during the same testing window. A student may also sit for more than one exam on the same day at the same location. NIPA recommends any student taking more than one exam on the same day to schedule exams at least 2.5 hours apart to ensure adequate testing time.

 

What if I need to change my testing location or date/time of the examination?
If you need to change your testing location or date/time, please contact NIPA Headquarters at 800-999-6472.  There will be a $25 fee for changes made within 72 hours of the originally scheduled exam date.

 

Can I defer my exam until the next examination window?
Any student who wishes to defer their exam until the next examination window must contact NIPA in writing at nipa@nipa.org. A $150 deferral fee will apply.

 

What if I need to cancel my exam?
Any student who wishes to cancel their exam must contact NIPA in writing at nipa@nipa.org. A $150 cancellation fee will apply.

 

How do I receive my exam scores?
With the new online format, exam scores are immediately available to students after completing the exam. Your exam scores are also automatically e-mailed to you for your records and sent to NIPA Headquarters for processing.

 

I failed my exam. Now what?
You cannot retake your exam during the same testing window. You must wait until the next available testing window to retake your exam. A $150 re-exam fee will apply.

 

I have passed my final APA/APR exam. Now what?
NIPA Headquarters will receive an automatic update from KRYTERION on your exam score. Once the score has been entered into NIPA's system, you will receive further information on using your APA or APR designation. To use your designation, you must become an Executive Member or Business Owner Member if you currently are not a member. You may expect this notification via email within two to four weeks after the testing window has closed. If you do not receive information on completing your designation requirements within six weeks of the testing window closing, please contact NIPA Headquarters directly at 800-999-6472 to verify you have fulfilled all the exam requirements.
