Editorial Contributors
Responsible for monitoring industry trends and news and identifying how these happenings will affect NIPA members Work with NIPA Headquarters to find writers and suggest angles for stories. Attend monthly conference calls and as necessary Anticipated time commitment is 2 hours per month (plus the monthly conference call).
Annual Conference Program Committee
Plan NIPA's Annual National Conference. Select and recruit dynamic speakers with diverse and exciting backgrounds to speak on various topics for conference sessions. Review all pertinent materials for the conference including on site binders and envelopes, speaker outlines, and contracts with the hotel. Make recommendations, additions and revisions to any conference materials that attendees receive.
Business Management Conference Committee
Plan NIPA's Business Management Conference. Recruit and coordinate presenters to speak on various topics facing business owners in the pension industry. Coordinate Workshop groups according to firm similarities. Plan Workshop topics. Plan activities for guests during the BMC Conference sessions. Coordinate with hotel and headquarters transportation, number of participants and cost of activity. Time Commitment Required: 5hrs/ mo.
Designation Committee
Develop the APA and APR study materials and examinations. Must be an APA or APR member in good standing.
Education Committees
Review all NIPA education policies, such as CEC's & APA/APR designation. Review all correspondence to APA/APR students. There are sub-committees, one for each of the four APA courses and one for the APR course.
Webcast Task Force
Determine relevant and timely webcast topics Identify and recruit dynamic experts to present webcasts Work with presenters to solidify webcast content and focus Periodically moderate webcasts Attend monthly committee conference calls Anticipated time commitment is 2-3 hours per month (plus the monthly conference call).
Membership Development Committee
Develop strategies to meet the yearly recruitment and retention goals as set by the NIPA Board of Directors Contact prospective members from various NIPA events to promote membership within the organization Contact non-renewing members to meet annual retention goals New member outreach to promote the NIPA community Assist staff in indentifying other industry resources for prospective members.
